Schools Office to Be Renamed

A dedication ceremony naming the Downey Unified School District main office after former Supt. Manuel Gallegos has been scheduled for 3:15 p.m. Tuesday.
The South Middle School Marching Band will play at the ceremony, which will be held at the office, to be named the Manuel Gallegos Administration Center, at 11627 Brookshire Ave. Gallegos retired in February after working 31 years with the district.
