Collegiate Baseball Ranks Simi Valley No. 1

Simi Valley High, coming off its championship appearance in the Colonial High baseball tournament in Orlando, Fla., has been named the nation’s No. 1 high school baseball team by Collegiate Baseball magazine.
The last Valley-area team to achieve national stature was Notre Dame in 1984, which was ranked No. 1 for 10 weeks by USA Today.
Simi Valley is 13-3 overall after winning four straight games last week in Florida and is 2-0 in the Marmonte League.
