Mutineers Captured at Pyramids

CAIRO — Soldiers stormed a security forces camp today under covering fire from armored cars at the foot of the Great Pyramids, capturing 100 mutineers before President Hosni Mubarak arrived to inspect riot damage to tourist hotels in the area.
Witnesses said mutineering conscripts of the Central Security Force entrenched in the camp fired on the advancing army men but were overwhelmed. Western diplomats said that at least one other security force camp is holding out in the Cairo area, a day after officials said a revolt by several thousand members of the paramilitary force had been crushed.
