Burke Repeats Victory in Sanders Tournament

Pat Burke of Cal State Dominguez Hills shot a 71 in the final round Tuesday and won the 16th annual Gary Sanders college golf tournament Tuesday at the Royal Vista course in Walnut.
Burke, a junior who also won last year, is the first repeat winner in tournament history. His 54-hole total of 209 was four under par. Neil Ehlinger of Cal State Long Beach beat Perry Parker of UC Irvine on the first playoff hole for second place after they had tied in regulation play at 212.
Irvine defeated Long Beach by four shots for the team title, 865-869. Dominguez Hills was third.
