Long Beach Women Win PCAA Title

With junior forward Carol Brandt scoring a career-high 29 points, the Cal State Long Beach women’s basketball team defeated Pacific, 90-78, Monday night at Stockton to win the Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. title in its first year in the conference.

Cindy Brown added 23 points for Long Beach (24-3, 12-0). Janet Whitney led Pacific (10-15, 4-8) with 25 points.
