Glasgow Train Stations

I wish to take exception to Stan Delaplane’s statement. We were in Glasgow last August and used the Queen Street Station and the Central Station. Both had been completely refurbished and modernized. They were well lighted, colorful and designed with the traveler’s needs taken well into account.
The platforms had a TV monitor at the head of each track section, showing which train was next to arrive or depart, the destination and the time schedule. Employees as well as patrons were eager to assist us with any question we had. Most train stations in the U.K. seem to be upgrading their facilities and the ones in Glasgow were among the best.
Delaplane is correct when he implied that Glasgow’s Sauchiehall Street is excellent for shopping. We found some great buys in woolens.
