Seeing China
Last October my wife and I flew from Shanghai to Peking, then to Xian, then to Guilin and hence to Guangzhou, about 5,000 miles, with the Civil Aviation Administration of China in four-motor turboprop Soviet Ilyushins or three-motor British Trident jets. We enjoyed the hotels, the sights, the culture, the food, the people. But when asked what we enjoyed especially, our answer is the fact that no smoking is permitted in any seat on the Chinese planes. Smoke-free air, how good it is!
