Two 16-year-old Chatsworth boys were injured, one critically, when their car flipped over on a Porter Ranch street and slammed into a light pole, Los Angeles police said Saturday.
The driver, Keith Mullin, was taken by air ambulance to Northridge Hospital Medical Center after the 10:40 p.m. Friday crash on Tampa Avenue just south of Wilbur Avenue, Sgt. Ken Staggs said. Mullin was in critical condition Saturday, but a hospital nursing supervisor would not comment on the nature of his injuries.
Mullin’s passenger, William Mirabelli, was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in Mission Hills, where he was in stable condition after suffering a concussion, cuts and bruises, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Staggs said Mullin apparently lost control of the car as he turned from Wilbur onto Tampa.
