Sitton Leads CSUN Past CS Sacramento

Denise Sitton scored 17 points and had 13 rebounds Thursday night to lead the Cal State Northridge women’s basketball team to a 71-63 nonconference victory at home over Cal State Sacramento.
The win was the Lady Matadors’ 18th, a school record.
Northridge, 18-5 and ranked 13th in the nation, trailed by as many as five points in the second half and were tied at 47 with 9 1/2 minutes left. But it went on an 8-3 run to take a 55-50 lead with seven minutes left and was never down again.
Forward Regan O’Hara scored 14 points for the Lady Matadors. Center Tara Flanagan added 10.
