Duncan Leads SDSU to Victory Over Fullerton

Dee Dee Duncan scored 21 points and Shelda Arceneaux and Lisa Stevens each added 20 Thursday night to lead the San Diego State women’s basketball team to a 91-72 Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. win over Cal State Fullerton in Peterson Gym.
San Diego is 5-4 in conference and 12-12 overall. Fullerton is 5-5 and 7-15.
The Aztecs led, 44-30, at halftime and extended their lead to 24 points at 66-42 before Fullerton closed to within 11 points at 76-65 with four minutes remaining.
The Aztecs then got two points from Stevens and two from Arceneaux to make it 80-65 and were never challenged after that.
The Titans were led by Robin Holmes, who scored a game-high 28 points. Freshman forward Felicia Benson added 11 points and 14 rebounds for the Titans. San Diego plays host to UC Irvine Saturday night at 7:30.
