FALLETTA NAMED TO NASSAU POST

GARDEN CITY, N.Y. — JoAnn Falletta has been appointed the Nassau Symphony Orchestra’s artistic adviser for the 1986-87 season.
Falletta currently is music director of both the Queens Philharmonic and the Denver Chamber orchestras, associate conductor of the Milwaukee Symphony, and assistant conductor of the Nassau Symphony.
She was the first woman to win the Leopold Stokowski Conducting Competition and was the 1985 recipient of the Toscanini Conductor’s Award.
