Pitchers Ken Howell and Balvino Galvez and outfielder Jose Gonzalez have agreed to terms for the 1986 season, the Dodgers announced Wednesday.
Howell, 25, was 4-7 with a 3.77 earned-run average and 12 saves for the Dodgers in 1985. The right-hander appeared in 56 games.
Galvez, 21, a right-hander from the Dominican Republic, was 10-9 with a 4.54 ERA while pitching for San Antonio of the Texas League last season. Gonzalez, also 21 and from the Dominican Republic, hit .306 with 13 homers and 62 runs batted in at San Antonio.
The Dodgers said 33 members of their 40-player roster are under contract, including first baseman Greg Brock, whose arbitration outcome has not been announced yet. The total does not include pitchers Fernando Valenzuela and Orel Hershiser or catcher Mike Scioscia, whose aribtration hearings have not been held yet.
