Two players from the Los Angeles area have been suspended indefinitely from the University of New Mexico basketball team by Coach Gary Colson for a violation of team rules.
The players are Shawn Brooks, a 6-foot 9-inch sophomore center from Verbum Dei High School, and Michael Moore, a 6-6 freshman guard from Compton Dominguez High. Brooks is the team’s second-leading scorer, averaging 11.1 points a game. Moore, a reserve, is averaging 2.1 points a game.
