The World : Soviets Free 3 W. Germans

Three West German business executives held for about nine months in the Soviet Union on charges of bribing Soviet officials were released and flown home. They are Monika Schanzenbach, Pavel Arsner and Bodo Luetke who arrived in Frankfurt aboard a Lufthansa airliner. A West German Embassy spokesman in Moscow said the move was apparently unconnected with a planned East-West spy swap Tuesday that is expected to bring freedom for jailed Soviet Jewish dissident Anatoly Shcharansky.
