Trabuco Hills JV Rips St. Margaret’s

Junior forward John Welch scored 18 points and pulled down 14 rebounds to lead the Trabuco Hills High School junior varsity boys’ basketball team to a 73-52 nonleague victory over St. Margaret’s Thursday at Trabuco Hills.
The Mustangs opened a nine-point first-quarter lead and extended it to 22 points at the half, 42-20. Junior center Gordon McNeill scored 13 points for the Mustangs (11-11) and guard Scott Kriech added 7 points and 6 assists.
St. Margaret’s was led by senior Eric Flather who scored 16 points.
