Warner said it holds a 7.4% stake in Datacopy.

Warner Communications said it initially invested in Datacopy in 1983 when the Mountain View, Calif.-based manufacturer of electronic imaging systems began trading shares publicly. Warner said its holding recently increased to 7.4% as a result of a distribution of cash and Datacopy stock from a limited partnership called Sierra Ventures, which Warner joined in 1982 with the chairman of Datacopy, among others. In a filing at the Securities and Exchange Commission, Warner said the Datacopy shares are held as an investment.
