The administrator of the Farmers Home Administration said the government would delay notifying tens of thousands of farmers that they are delinquent in their loan payments. The letters, marking the end of a two-year court-ordered moratorium on foreclosures, were scheduled to be sent next week. But Administrator Vance Clark said on public broadcasting’s “MacNeil-Lehrer Newshour” that the notices would be delayed until Jan. 23, a day after a federal court considers a request to stop the loan review process.
