San Diego police issued a plea Thursday for information about the Dec. 18 bludgeoning death of a South San Diego woman and her 2-year-old daughter. Bill Robinson, police spokesman, said the bodies of Nelia Oloaya Silva, 33, and her daughter, Katherine, were found in the hallway of their Piedra Street home. Robinson said that anyone with information about the murders should call 235-TIPS. Callers do not have to identify themselves, he said, and could claim an award of up to $1,000.
