In A. James Liska’s “Seasonal Swingings” (Dec. 15), he concludes with the wish that “some jazzman would concentrate on recording ‘Auld Lang Syne’ so we could ditch the Guy Lombardo record come the New Year.”
Where’s he been? Duke Ellington did that for an Atlantic album “Recollections of the Big Band Era” in 1962.
