Three Iranians who support an anti-Khomeini organization showed reporters at the United Nations the effects of torture they said was inflicted on them in Iranian jails. Their appearance at a news conference, under the auspices of the Moujahedeen, was timed to coincide with discussion of human rights violations in Iran and a number of other countries by a General Assembly committee. Mojgan Homayounfar, 24, who appeared in a wheelchair, removed and displayed an artificial left leg that she said replaced a limb hacked off with a machete by an Iranian Revolutionary Guardsman.
