Chapman Women’s Tournament : University of San Diego Upsets Chapman in Overtime

Kelli Behrens scored the only basket in overtime Friday night to lead the University of San Diego to a 41-39 upset of Chapman in a semifinal game of the Chapman Tournament in Hutton Sports Center.
USD will play United States International University for the tournament title at 5 today.
Chapman led, 39-37, with five seconds left in regulation when the Toreros Debbie Simmoppoli scored on a layup to tie the score.
Behrens led San Diego (2-1) with 12 points, while Leone Patterson of Chapman (2-1) led all scorers with 14.
In other Chapman Tournament action:
USIU 106, Air Force 76--Daisy Mendez scored 23 points and Sonya Carter added 21 as the Gulls (3-1) defeated the Falcons (3-1) in a semifinal game. Stacey Goss scored 19 to lead Air Force.
McNeese State 72, North Dakota 62--The Cowboys advanced into the finals of the consolation bracket with the 10-point victory. McNeese State will play Texas El Paso.
Texas El Paso 70, Loyola Marymount 65--The Miners won the right to play McNeese State in the consolation finals with the victory over Lions.
