St. Genevieve, Chaminade Meet for Santa Fe Title

The Santa Fe League football title rests on the outcome of tonight’s game between Chaminade High and St. Genevieve.
Both teams are undefeated in four league games and hold overall records of 7-2. The Valiants are ranked second in the Southern Section’s Desert-Mountain Conference. The Eagles are ranked third.
The begins at 7:30 p.m. at Birmingham High.
Loyola, which has already clinched the Del Ray League title, plays Alemany tonight at Glendale High.
Loyola is 4-0 in league, 8-1 overall, while Alemany is 2-2, 7-2.
The Indians will most likely depend on the passing of quarterback Sean Casey. Casey has completed 61 of 143 passes for 1,206 yards and 11 touchdowns. Wide receiver Travis Bargeman has caught 19 of Casey’s passes for 530 yards and 5 touchdowns.
Loyola figures to let leading rusher Mark Estwick carry much of its offense.
The game begins at 7:30 p.m.
