NICOSIA, Cyprus — Two Palestinians and an Englishman were ordered Wednesday to stand trial Jan. 20 for killing three Israelis in the marina of the Cypriot port. The late September attack precipitated a retaliatory Israeli raid a week later on Palestine Liberation Organization headquarters in Tunisia, killing more than 70.
The accused are Khaled Abdel-Kader Khatib, 28, a student with a Syrian passport; Abdel-Hakim Khalifa, 29, a laborer possessing a Jordanian passport, and Ian Michael Davison, 27, a former carpenter of Newcastle, England.
