The Western Athletic Conference showdown between Air Force (10-0) and Brigham Young (8-2) Saturday at Provo, Utah, will be televised by Prime Ticket network on a tape-delayed basis at 4:15 p.m. Game time is 11 a.m. PST.
ABC passed on BYU-Air Force because it has Penn State-Notre Dame on Saturday and its contract with the CFA does not allow the network to televise a double-header because of separate deals with syndicators and cable networks, said Donn Bernstein of ABC.
ESPN made an attempt to get the game, but according to a spokesman, Air Force would not agree to a time change. WTBS and USA have no contractual ties with the WAC, so those cable networks are not able to televise the game.
