HELL
Yesterday, in sharp contrast to an otherwise extremely pleasant afternoon, I happened upon my own personal version of hell: I’m sitting at my dining room table, the Sunday Calendar before me, turning page after endless page filled with the trials and tribulations of Marie Osmond’s whirlwind life on the road (“Marie Osmond--The Mormon Madonna,” by Debora Caulfield, Oct. 27).
Nothing but wild cherry Lifesavers and milk to sustain me. Nothing to listen to but her live version of “The Heart of Rock ‘n’ Roll.” For all of eternity.
