Water Polo Roundup : Rancho Santiago Routs Rio Hondo

Reed Tomlinson scored four goals and three teammates added three goals each Friday to lead the top-ranked Rancho Santiago College water polo team to a 24-4 Inland Conference win over Rio Hondo at Santa Ana.
Mike Cornell, John Gessner and Mike Toscas scored three goals for the Dons, who are ranked first in the state. Rancho Santiago is 8-0 in conference and 21-1 overall.
In South Coast Conference action:
Long Beach City 13, Cypress 3--Tim Moilanen scored four goals and Dale Inskeep and Pat McIlrath each scored three to lead the Vikings to an easy win at Cypress.
Long Beach is 6-0 in conference and 11-6 overall. Cypress is 1-6 and 1-26 with 11 losses coming by forfeit.
In Pacific Coast Conference action:
Orange Coast 12, Saddleback 10--Eric Keller scored five goals as the Pirates clinched the conference title by edging the Gauchos. Orange Coast is 7-0 in conference, Saddleback 4-2. Jeff Long led the Gauchos with four goals.
In nonconference collegiate action:
UC Riverside 18, Chapman 10--Kevin Taylor scored seven goals to lead the Highlanders past the Panthers (2-15) at Riverside.
