With completion of three high-tech office buildings, the $17-million, 138,759-square-foot Birtcher Northpoint R & D park has formally opened on the corner of Red Hill and Bell avenues in the Irvine Business Complex, Tustin.
The two-story office/R & D buildings with sandblasted white concrete finish and horizontal bands of blue-green grass are surrounded by landscaping, according to Bob Campbell, a partner in Birtcher/Campbell, the developer. The focal point is a four-story, 93-ton obelisk in front.
The complex features underground conduits for inter-building communications, security and air conditioning; a three-story parking structure, a conference center and a gymnasium. Grubb & Ellis, Newport Beach, is the leasing agent.
