Western Airlines ordered 12 more Boeing 737s.

The new jetliners will be delivered during the next two years to help handle Western’s expansion plans, the carrier said. The transaction is valued at about $250 million. Currently, Western’s fleet of 158 planes is the largest in its history. “The additional planes will give us the capability to expand our route network and serve new cities,” said Gerald Grinstein, Western’s chief executive.
