The California Tahoe Conservancy has awarded $377,000 in grants for two projects to control erosion in the Lake Tahoe Basin. Placer County received $177,000 to stabilize slopes, plant vegetation and construct roadside drain facilities in the Skyland subdivision on the west shore of Lake Tahoe. A $200,000 grant was given to El Dorado County to stabilize eroded banks on the upper Truckee River and remove a log jam that is contributing to erosion problems.
