Two more bodies have been recovered from the Rodriguez Dam reservoir near Tijuana, where a raft accident led to the drowning of eight people, most of them children.
Divers from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department and a Tijuana rescue team called the Halcones found the body of 6-year-old Carmelina Perez on Wednesday evening and recovered the body of 8-year-old Edith Skinfield on Thursday morning.
Five bodies had been recovered earlier. Still missing is the body of a 6-year-old girl, one of more than 35 people who were aboard the raft when it overturned Sunday afternoon, said Rosaliva Edith Espinosa of the Red Cross in Tijuana.
