The Rent Control Board has voted to appropriate up to $10,000 to hire a company to develop a plan for studying the impact of rent control on the maintenance of housing units in the city.
Building System Evaluation Inc. of Sierre Madre will develop the survey which will identify the degree to which replacement of major items such as roofing, plumbing has been deferred in rental units.
