The council voted to award $1.3 million to Valley Crest Landscape for the construction of a park near the Santa Monica Shores apartments. The park will include six tennis courts, two paddle tennis courts, a basketball court, a viewing area and pedestrian paths.
The council put off until next Tuesday a decision on funding for a series of beach improvements in Ocean Park.
