Senate OKs Aid for Farm Loans

WASHINGTON — Moving to aid farmers with newly harvested crops, the Senate today approved and sent to President Reagan $1 billion in emergency aid for the Agriculture Department to resume making price-support loans to growers.
The measure sped through Congress after the government halted crop loans to farmers on Wednesday because the Commodity Credit Corp. was broke.
