Bottle Laws

We recently returned from trips through Oregon and Iowa. These two states have anti-litter laws requiring deposits on cans and bottles. What a pleasure to drive without the highway and street clutter of cans and broken glass that we have here in once beautiful California! We made inquiry at various stores regarding storage of empty bottles and cans. Invariably the reply was, “No problem.”
Isn’t it about time that we clean up the messy environment we have let be created? Laws do no good without enforcement or incentive of some kind.
