Sniper, Portland Woman Killed in 4-Hour Standoff

PORTLAND, Ore. — A sniper fired more than 25 shots in a standoff that ended with the death of the gunman and an elderly woman, police said Saturday.
The four-hour incident ended when officers entered the house and found the man and woman fatally wounded. No motive was known for the shooting Friday night.
