CORONA — A Corona man has died of injuries suffered in a traffic collision at 6th and Crawford streets, the Riverside County coroner’s office said Wednesday.
Timothy Grable, 18, died Tuesday in Riverside General Hospital.
Two other men injured in the Sunday accident remained hospitalized. Byron Ward, 18, was in critical condition under neurosurgical intensive care and Francisco Cota Jr., 26, was in stable condition, a spokeswoman for Riverside General said. Both men suffered head injuries in the accident.
A fourth young man, John McDaniel, 19, also of Corona, was treated for a dislocated shoulder but was not hospitalized, police said.
Police Lt. Sam Speigel said Grable and McDaniel were passengers in a camper driven by Ward. He said the camper was moving west on 6th Street when it collided with Cota’s southbound pickup truck. The camper rolled over and Grable was pinned beneath it, Spiegel said.
An investigation of the accident’s cause was continuing.
