Man Critical After Santa Ana Stabbing

A Santa Ana man was in critical condition Saturday at Fountain Valley Community Hospital after undergoing surgery for stab wounds suffered in a fight earlier that day.
Manuel Leon , who police said was about 25 years old, was stabbed during a dispute that broke out shortly after 4 p.m. at 5005 West 5th Street in Santa Ana. Witnesses said several men were fighting when one pulled a knife, stabbed Leon several times in the back and then fled.
Lt. Bob Jordan said investigators would try to obtain the suspect’s name from Leon.
