Congratulations, Lakers! You have “class.” It took a lot of hard work, talent and guts to win the world championship. The “gutsiest” part of your act was when you voted a token one-quarter share of the playoff money to Chuck Nevitt. A full share for Chuck would have reduced your earnings from $34,339.62 to $32,500.

Chuck was in uniform for each game we saw at the Forum and for each game we watched on TV. He appeared to be dedicated and put forth his best efforts.
