Benefiting from its recent acquisition of two potential competitors, Ropak West Inc. of Fullerton said its 1985 first-quarter earnings totaled $230,000, up 15% from the $199,400 reported for the first three months of 1984.
The company, a producer of plastic shipping and storage containers, said first-quarter revenues rose 74% to a record $5.8 million from the $3.3 million reported a year ago.
Ropak’s first-quarter results include two months’ contribution of the two companies Ropak acquired Feb. 1 for $5.7 million cash: Capilano Industries Inc. of Kent, Wash., and Capilano Plastics Co. Ltd. of British Columbia.
