Fullerton : City Council to Decide on Parking Permit Plan
- Share via
Residents living near Cal State Fullerton’s fraternity row will be required to have a permit to park in the neighborhood if the City Council gives final approval to a proposed parking ordinance Tuesday.
Residents hope the move will rid the area of unwanted visitors and cars.
The ordinance would allow each resident one permit for each registered car and five guest permits to a home. For special occasions such as parties, residents could request one-day passes.
City Council members are also expected Tuesday to select a new mayor to replace Alan (Buck) Catlin and a mayor pro tem to replace Richard C. Ackerman.
The council will meet at 4 p.m. and again at 7:30 p.m. at city hall, 303 W. Commonwealth Ave.
