Archive Corp. of Costa Mesa has signed four new distributors and opened a European service center for its lines of streaming tape drives.
The new distributors are Synelec Datensystems GmbH in Munich, Diode Spain in Madrid, Diode Belgium in Brussels and Diode Holland in Utrecht. Archive has also contracted with Computer Repair Service Ltd. of Thames, England to service all Archive products in Western Europe.
THORN EMI Computer Software Inc., a computer software publisher, has moved its corporate headquarters to Irvine from Costa Mesa. The company’s new address is 1881 Langley Ave.
Landmark Mortgage Corp. has moved to new, larger offices in Santa Ana to accommodate its growing staff. The mortgage banking company, founded in 1978, said it added an insurance services division last year and has expanded other departments, more than doubling its staff in the past 18 months. Landmark, with new offices at 2020 N. Tustin Ave., has branches throughout Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside and San Diego counties.
The Orangewood Business Center, a retail center and office park in Santa Ana, has been purchased by McDade + Shidler, a nationwide real estate investment company with offices in Costa Mesa. The sale price for the 10-building project was $8.5 million. The sellers were Orangewood Business Park Associates, the investment group that built the project.
Irvine-based WMD Micro Distributors raised $5 million at its recently completed initial public offering. The stock offering was underwritten by Blinder, Robinson & Co., a Denver investment banker. WMD was founded two years ago to distribute microcomputer systems used in offices and at home.
The South Coast regional offices of Dial One have been moved to Orange from Long Beach, the company said. In addition, former regional director Don Kane has been named president of the company.
Dial One South Coast Region Inc. represents more than 100 member franchises in the commercial, retail and building trades. Members’ services range from air conditioning and heating installation and repair to floral arranging, landscaping and residential and commercial cleaning. The company, now headquartered at 326-F W. Katella Ave., maintains a service facility in Long Beach.
