A 15-month-old child has been diagnosed as having AIDS, according to a doctor at the University of California Medical Center in Sacramento. The child, hospitalized since late last year, is the youngest AIDS patient in that area, according to Dr. Michael E. Miller, chairman of the pediatrics department. He declined to speculate on how the child got the disease.
