The front page of The Times (March 5) carried the headline, “$1.5 Billion Asked for 21 MX Missiles--Weapon Needed as Bargaining Chip, Reagan Says.”
Page 7 of the same section had a headline, “No Money Left, President Tells County Leaders--the Public Treasury Is a Trust, Not a Gift Shop.”
I would hope that in the future you might pair such articles next to one another so that we might better appreciate the complexities of our nation’s economic problems and the resourceful manner with which they are being dealt.
