A Silicon Valley personnel manager was arrested for allegedly copying more than 100 of his company’s resumes and arranging to sell them to an executive recruiting firm, police said. William Van Pelt, 39, an executive with Advanced Micro Devices, was charged with conspiracy, embezzlement and grand theft. Van Pelt, who has denied the allegations, allegedly copied the resumes and sold them to General Engineering Personnel Services, which said it did not know the resumes of the engineers and specialists were stolen. Van Pelt would have received $1,000 for each person who was hired from the resumes, police said.
