Two Nordstrom Stores to Open at Shop Centers

The newest Nordstrom department stores in the Southland will open March 22 in Redondo Beach and May 2 on the Westside of Los Angeles. Both are in extensively renovated and expanded existing shopping centers.
The $19-million, 150,000-square-foot Nordstrom at The Galleria at South Bay (the former South Bay Center) is at Hawthorne and Artesia boulevards in Redondo Beach. The original shopping center opened in 1957.
The $19.7-million, 125,000-square-foot Nordstrom at Westside Pavilion (the former Westland shopping center) is at Westwood and Pico boulevards. The original shopping center opened in 1964.
