EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Three construction workers helping to build a movie theater were killed today when a 30-foot wall was toppled by a gust of wind from an approaching rainstorm.
Police said the concrete block wall fell onto 14 men working below, killing two at the scene and injuring a third who died later. The victims’ names were withheld pending notification of their families. They were employees of the Bunge Masonry Co. The other workers were taken to a hospital for treatment and one was admitted in serious condition.
