Azusa has entered into a four-month agreement with Urban Pacific Co. to build 100 apartments and a shopping center on seven acres at the intersection of Foothill Boulevard and Azusa Avenue, at an estimated total cost of $6 million. The property was deemed blighted in a study of redevelopment project areas. The shopping center will include a supermarket, restaurants and specialty stores.
