Local News in Brief : Burbank Won’t Charge 13 Youths in Incident
- Share via
Burbank Police Department officials said they will not ask the district attorney’s office to file criminal charges against 13 Burbank youths arrested last month after a 40-student confrontation at a city park.
“The matter has been adjudicated within the Police Department,” Detective Richard Kowatch said. He said the youths have good reputations at their schools and have not been arrested before.
Although police confiscated a shotgun, revolver and several clubs and baseball bats from the students, no one was injured in the Jan. 23 incident. The youths were released shortly after their arrest.
