Walt Disney Productions said the registration statement for 3.3 million common shares was made on behalf of the Bass family of Fort Worth and other former shareholders of Arvida Corp., the Florida land development firm acquired by Disney last June. The Burbank-based studio said the Basses and their associates have indicated that they have no current plans to sell the shares being registered.
