The Los Angeles Conservancy has announced a two-for-one special on its downtown walking tours: The $5 donation gets you a ticket for two on any of the group’s Saturday morning downtown walks.
They are:
--Pershing Square tour, including the Bradbury Building, Oviatt Building, Biltmore Hotel and other landmarks.
--Broadway Historic Theater District, covering the sumptuous movie palaces of Hollywood’s golden years, the only theater district in the United States listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
--Palaces of Finance, exploring the ornate commercial buildings and beautiful lobbies of the Spring Street Historic District, the former “Wall Street of the West.”
The tours are available every Saturday morning at 10 a.m. Advance reservations and group reservations may be made. The $5 ticket price is a tax-deductible donation to the Los Angeles Conservancy, a nonprofit, historic preservation organization.
